My First Christmas Eve 24.12. 2006 in Kuala Lumpur....

-->
Note: Xmas tree@ KLCC in Kuala Lumpur
On the 24th December 2006 (Sunday) @ 11.00pm………. after closing of the restaurant, I was rushing to go to church as it is Christmas eve and is my first Christmas alone in K.lumpur……… well when I reach the church I sweating like hell and reaching there in half an hour time, at that time for me to find a seat was impossible……. But with God presences I was able to get a seat at the side of the church on the 3rd Pews (Beach od seat in Church), praise the lord……….. I was seating with two young Chinese girls and they know me but I don’t know them at all, they event know where I work………… hahahahahaha………………………….
After the mass ended they offer to sent me back but I say thanks and not to worry, because I want to walk home and of cause I want to see how is Christmas celebration in K.Lumpur @ Bukit Bintang, during my time back in Kuching I heard a lot of stories about how happening it is in K.Lumpur during this festive occasion….and now I would like to feel it myself,  to witness the occasion what is so great about that the Kuchingnite have says and to feel the atmosphere.

Note: Gient X'mas Tree @ KLCC, Kuala Lumpur
-->
To my surprise and disappointment………………… on the words from the Kuchingnite, it was not so happening at all just like in Kuching, is this what you call happening?  with some Idiot jumping around on the road with snow spray, making the city dirty, spraying peoples car and jamming the road………… Ha, I rather go back home and sleep or go to my friend shop at Pudu enjoy a bucket of beer for free …………….hahahaha
I only do agree that all major night club and restaurant are running full house on the eve of every occasion with all the complexes are well decorated including the entire hotels in K.lumpur. I think this is what all the Kuchingnite are making all the fuss about, because in Kuching they are not so well decorated………. We cannot compare with a major city and with an urban city like Kuching……. Try to compare Singapore and K.Lumpur is far away different………. Even the cleanliness  of K.Lumpur cannot beet Singapore as  Singaporean are more civilize to compare with Malaysian on cleanliness …………
Well after the stroll at the place where they say is so happening (F.Y.I…. Bukit Bintang), I went to my friend place to chill out with couple drinks be for going back with my friend…………………………….
While at home, I pray and thank the Lord for giving this chance for me to look and witness on this festive occasion, after witnessing everything I can make a different view and not just to hear and think that bigger city is doing batter then ours…….. the only problem in Kuching is that we have lake of train people to improve our place……… if we have well train locals and civilize citizen then Kuching will definitely improve in many fields………………maybe we will be even better  off than K.Lumpur  as an individual state of Malaysia…………

Letter of Employment conformation…………………………

Note: Copy of my letter of Employment conformation.
-->
After three and a half month of working @ Saisaki ……………. In the afternoon, when my boss Mr. Jung came to the restaurant and ask me to see him, I was quite nervous, what will be going to happen? And that is what in my mind…………..So I went and see him and for surprise he was vary happy to offer me a permanent staff with immediate effect from the date of the letter ……… as I was about to left the office after signing the letter, he told me to work hard as he have many feedback on me and my service by his Korean friend who are all VIP from the embassy, that I was a good staff and they that want me to serve them when they patronize the restaurant again.
When I was at the floor, the joy of receiving my conformation letter shows that, for the past 3 months of my hard work and suffering was not wasted. I was so full of joy that on that day on wards I even work more hard for the restaurant until my Supervisor was not happy with me as my boss getting closer and closer to me……. He starts to get jealous when he was not offered a permanent staff until today and also I was put to train in serving Japanese traditional tea to my boss every morning. Words came back to me by colleagues, that he say I was using charm or in Bahasa is call “BOMOH” (Which Doctor)……… as he say that to my colleagues and all of them was against him because most of the Myanmar boys are Christian and they use to go to church on every Sunday for those who can attend and for those who are from the same church as me will just attend daily mass if possible during our off day and even some times we attend it together …………..

-->
Well for me I just keep quiet and do my job because I know that this is not my hometown to throw my anger at a person will be like killing my job and is pointless, event how angry I‘m. I just pray that my career will expand and my boss will like me and took care of me while we took good care of his business. As for my Supervisor, he keeps on throwing much responsibility to me, I just keep accepting  the responsibility with an open hard as I know how much I dislike that responsibility he give me and I know he try to catch my mistake………. But I never leave any gap for him to do so………….maybe this is the Almighty God testing on me how patience and organize I am, for me I’m glad to gain a lot of experience from all this duties beside from serving and taking care of the VVIPs …………… while performing this duties, it was not for him to get credited, is for me to get credited and for my surprise that my boss increased my allowance by another Rm 150.00 to do all this duties. For my boss to know I was doing this entire job, my head chef have reported to my boss, even the asst. manager is not a fair person at all. Now, the asst. manager and my supervisor even more jealous, they even try to trick me doing things that I dislike, at the restaurant I work more closely with Chef Tambi………….from there again I gain more experience…… at times the asst. manager throw many duties at me but it was a chicken feet to me as I was a Restaurant Manager be for at Kuching, as he think that I was unable to perform this duties. As for his surprise I was able to perform and get credited by my boss and again my boss revises my salary more than Rm 200.00 this time…..
To summaries this topic, is that Almighty God have show me many things that I was unable to see when I was in Kuching, as a person you must be humble, patience and organize to be success In this word and society…….. Never looks down on anyone, neither the poor, the sick nor the bagger…….as a leader you must be fair to everyone………………

The Re-Opening of Saisaki……….

-->
Team Saisaki (2006 – 2007)
On the 1st July 2006 (Saturday) at 6.00pm……. all the staff of Saisaki ready and standby at main door to greet “IRASAIMASE” to all invited guest, it means welcome in Japanese language, this is the day we are waiting for, the re-opening of Saisaki and we were expecting 400 covers of guest and customer to this special occasion………. Well this is the first time I was been attack with a full house and a bit “Kalang Kabut” because I was the only in-charge to take care of one section with a sitting capacity of 200 covers and with some Myanmar staff………. As I was not familiar with the operation and using a walkie talkie and pluck with an ear peace are really irritating and is hard for me to communicate with the usher and people in front because I was not use to it……. At that time my boss was not vary please with me……….well I know that he is keeping an eye on me because, I was the last to join in the organization………
After the restaurant have cleared and ready to close…….. Mr Choi looks for me and has a very long chat, As Mr Choi is a Korean and he knows what a Korean expected from his employee, so he told me to be more productive and don’t disappoint him as he is the one who recommend me in…… well I told Mr. Choi the reasons that I was not ready at that time………..so I promise to work hard and will never disappoint him…….. So he was quite please to hear my answered to him…….. as I was about to go…… Mr. Choi remained me again about the topic and I just nod my head and walk away.
As on the way home, I recall on what Mr. Choi have said to me………. That prove he has confident on me and what he say are right, to be more alert and as a Captain you are not suppose to cleared the table or doing the staff job,  you are here to supervise and train the staff on service and make sure that there are no complains on any things………….

My first day at work @ Saisaki Japanese Restaurant K.Lumpur……………..

-->
After Mum have left K.Lumpur for two days already……. Is time for me to start work at Saisaki on the 21st June 2006…..
I was quite ready in the morning of 21st June 2006 at around 9.30am, I was going down to the main gate of Condo,  to took a cab to work as I’m not sure the location of the building (UOA II)  as in K.L there are many UOA building around……….. when I reach the building, I look at the cab meter, shock of my life it was so cheap and to compare with the rate in Kuching it was far damn cheep then the  cab in Kuching. After paying the cab, I walk in to the building and ask a security officer the location of the restaurant, so the officer tell me how to go, when I reach the main door  of the restaurant I was greeted by  my supervisor………… Mr . Alvin Khoo, while waiting for the other  Senior Captain to come, Mr. Tan Chuan Hong, I was been introduce by Alvin to all the staff and also to the head chef, Chef Tambi and also the Asst. Manager Chef Lok Yew Weng……………. Well knowing those staff and superior is just like a routine on the first day of work……… at around 11.00am if I was not mistaken……. Mr Jung Suk Chang my big boss and his (PA) Mr Choi was here to supervise the renovation of the restaurant……… well I never mention on the earlier part, The restaurant was under renovation and it was not quite ready when I join in……. Ok, back to the story…….. Mr. Choi, introduce me to my boss (Mr. Jung) he is a middle age guy, with a tall build and a very strong Korean accent , he look vary fierce by the way he talk and do things……….. there is one thing in my mind…… will I last long in this organization or will I last for 3 months…………….
-->
Well what the hack……… after lunch as usual finding a place to smoke……… and I doesn’t know Alvin also smoke and he join me, he ask me allot question just for him to know me, I just tell him what he ask while puffing away………… as I have no much mood to talk with anyone in the organization yet……..because I too home sick missing “DAD & MUM” at that times…………. After the break, we were assign to prepare the chopstick cover and to put in chopstick in the cover, as many of the old one have to throw away…………. Well the whole day was doing the chopstick and until 7.00pm the time they serve dinner…….. after dinner that is the time for us to go back………so I left and doesn’t know how to go about…… just taking my walk down Bukit Bintang……. I saw the monorail station in front of the building look very familiar it was Wisma Genting , so I know , from that station near the condo (Station Hang Tuah) will lead to this station which is Station Raja Chulan, (in front of Wisma Genting) Is important to know the way in K.Lumpur because is hard to get a cab during pick hour and at night……..well by the look at my watch the night is still young,  I have a stroll down to Bukit Bintang and from there I look for Pharmacies, Bank, Hyper market, Mini post office, Internet café and etc…….. it is important to know all this places as I  might need to get something important at times………….. After the stroll I went back by monorail, from the station I have to know the way back to the condo. So that I will never get lost in some where…..hahahahaha
When at home I call Dad just to check on them, are they OK?…………. after chat with Dad and Mum I took a shower and went to sleep…………well this is will be my routine schedule in times to come……..

New life at K.Lumpur…………….2006 - 2009

-->
On 16th June 2006 (Friday) @ 6.30am…….. Me, Mum and Dad at KIA Kuching, together with Aunty Grace and Geoffrey to KL taking the early flight because of budget and as this time I will be going to K.Lumpur for work……… this will be the last time I meet Dad because I will never know when I will meet him again, Deep inside me I know that I will miss Dad a lot……. But what to do, my hometown have no job for me and it’s good for me as I can see what is happening  outside of mine little territory of Kuching, that I have hidden for so many years and facing many problem in life. While waiting for the calling for boarding, I and Dad have a little chat for a while at the departure area…………. When time to move that is is the hardest time for me to say good bye to Dad, in my little heart I know Dad felling is the same….. Me, Mum, Aunty Grace and Geoffrey proceed to the Immigration clearance counter to enter the boarding hall……. I know that Dad is having a hard time for me to leave him but I have to do for the good of both parties…….. Anyway for now I have mum by my side….. at the boarding gate I can see so many passenger of MH 2215 bound for K.Lumpur are business traveler and some student who are going for further study in K.Lumpur , basically the student are excited to go over to K.lumpur to study and also can have some honey moon time there be for going for a serious study in other country……… at this moment I have no much felling of Joy or happiness  of going to work and earn big bucks…. except my worry for Dad and very sad to leave him alone in Kuching………..  Well that is life, the only thing that I can only do now is to  pray to  Almighty God to take good care of my Dad and bring good health and provide him with the necessity help so he will be ok  back in Kuching……….. Then we finally took off from Kuching at 6.35am………..
The main reasons for me to leave Kuching, is not to earn big bucks or big money ,is just to forget my past and  what happen between me and my Ex. recently…..because  I was not been good enough in my life to provide care and love for my family and her (My Ex.), this is also a good chance for me to see what is so great about working and staying in a place that is so foreign to me that sometimes my ex. were talking and asking me to go and work in other countries, for me I also want to find out the answered, What is so  great of working in a place that is so foreign to me and anyone of us……….
While in Mid-air,  the plane was flying, I look out the window and I saw a little fishing boat  cursing by the sea but never left a trace……… I ask myself, is this life is all about? Going away to forget the past to bring back memory of happiness……the answered remain unknown till the day when I come back to Kuching……. In the air-craft, I can notice that Mum is praying the Rosary and of course Aunty Grace is very nervous as usual, because when we exit the Sarawak River mouth, the plane will hit the opposite wind and we will fill some turbulence…… as for Geoffrey he have nothing to worry just laugh and always very happy only……………after the meal (breakfast) in the plane…… I try to take a nap, because I did not sleep well the night be for, but memories of the past and worry about Dad keep on hunting me………. So I just grab a magazine in the front of my seat pocket  to read…..the word is so thin and meaningless for me to read…… anyway is about 45 munities more to go for us to arrive in K.Lumpur , so I just lay back and enjoy the view from the window of the plane………….
-->
Two days later …………. I met (an old friend fron Kuching)  Ah How at sungai wang, he told me that Alvin (the boy who selling lok lok in the coffee shop at city inn)  is in Kl too…… to my surprise that he manage to get me room in Kenanga Point Condo at Jalan San Peng, the roon rental is Rm 175.00 + 1 month rental in advance……utility bills are divided out equally…… as F.Y.I that the K.L utility bills are dame expensive……..because the bill will hit up till Rm190 + Rm175 = Rm 365 a month for me to pay…. Now you guys know how much expensive lifestyle in K.Lumpur………… so don’t be happy to be in K.Lumpur to work………
Coming back to my story……. On the 5th day in K.Lumpur………. that is the day I have to depart with Mum…… during our journey to airport (KLIA) and the sad memory coming back again ………… is hard for me to leave both my parents back in my little home town of Kuching…….. But what can I do……… I only pray to Almighty God to strengthen me of my physical, mentally and spiritually to face the fact I will be alone in K.Lumpur  to face the reality of life………..Well the time have come me to depart with Mum…. When Mum precede to the departure hall that was the last I saw her, I felt very sad and nearly tears dropping from my eye but I control myself and I proceed to the bus terminal back to KL………..
When I reach Kl,  I contacted Alvin my house mate to pick me up at the main entrance of the condo…… after settle down in my room, I started to pray and ask to The Merciful Lord who I look in to, The Guardian of my life and also the Guardian my career in the future, to help me and to guide me, show me the way and the light so I will not be lost and blindfolded, with this prayer I wish the Good Lord will guide me in this journey of my life in Kl and to protect me from all evil in any form either  in the form of human or spiritual………….after the prayer I proceed to clear all the things  and arrange the room to my style…….. then my life in KL begins……….
Be for I end this chapter of my blog, It reflects on me how I change my self to a better leaves of an old tree, as I am not young any more age catching up on me…….. during this time I hope I will learn as much as possible to able to go back to Kuching, to find a better prospect in life and to serve in our Industries in Kuching…………
Finally we arrive in K.Lumpur @ 8.05am……….. then we proceed to baggage collection area, to collect our luggage….. after collecting our luggage, we went to the arrival hall to wait for Uncle Kenny who promise to pick us up from the airport……….after picking us up he sent us to the hotel, Sungai Wang Hotel in Jalan Bukit Bintang , opposite the famous shopping mall for us Sarawakian , The Sungai Wang Plaza…. After checking in Aunty Grace were hungry and ask where we can have our lunch? I remember that there was a stall opposite the hotel that where we can find food………. Well is still there…. So we ate our lunch there…….. after lunch, we go for a short shopping in the mall, as Aunty Grace are very excited to go shopping as usual.
The next day at K.Lumpur……. I contacted Mr. Choi (Young Eun (M) Sdn. Bhd.) The P.A of my future boss to meet up on my final interview with him as this is the company I will join….. (Saisaki Japanese Buffet Restaurant, Kuala lumpur) so we arrange to meet up at One utama Shopping mall, at the other brunch call Shogun Japanese Buffet Restaurant……….. after the interview I was immediately attached to the company offering  me a job as a floor captain in saisaki. But I only start work on the 21st June 2006……… After everything settle with the interview at One Utama , I took the chance just to lepak around be for going back to the hotel to join Mum………. When I reach the hotel, I was surprise that Aunty Diana and Kong Kong was there, as the tree of them were boring in the hotel as I was around and they call up Aunty Diana and she was surprise to hear they are in K.L…………. at around dinner time, all of us went to Sungai Wang for dinner and Aunty Diana subject to have dinner at one of the restaurant there…….. Phew…… I was sweating because when the bill came it burn a hole In my pocket , do you know how much is it (Rm 250.00++) just for a stupid dinner………….
During this trip at K.Lumpur……….. I think me and mum spent the most because I never see Aunty Grace even come out a bit to share on the room rental……….. haiyo I sweating all the way……. Luckily Dad  mange to come out a bit for the room……… the sad things is that all of them sleeping good but I sleep in nothing and  of cause mum have to sleep good,  but the Tumpang one also sleep good……. what the hell.
